Pumpkin Re-Do

So I found this pumpkin at Walmart. It was the last one they had. I looked it over and thought it was nice, but not as nice as some I already have, but then it is only about one third of the price as the ones I already have. But, I thought I could make it look better with a little bit of paint and stain. So, I repainted it with Americana Burnt Orange and I painted the stem Americana Plantation Pine. I also stained it with a combination of Americana Burnt Umber and DecoArt Antiquing Medium. So, what do you think? Much better than it was before?

BEFORE

AFTER

I wish you could see it in person, the difference is amazing! Pictures never really show the whole story.

Your pumpkin looks great:) And how funny that we have some of the same things...great minds think alike (because I actually LIKE the things we have that are the same..haha!). Have a great night! <3Lauren

I think it does look better and I agree - pictures don't always tell the whole story. Oranges and red are so hard to show true.

Love what you did to the pumpkin, I find reds so hard to photograph! You do have the same couch as Lauren:) How neat is that!

Beth -

It turned out great. What a fun little before and after project. I love how it turned out. Your right pictures do not do this justice. Since I seen that little pumpkin in it's before state the other day.

Hi, I came across your blog after visiting Carolyn at Cranberry Crossings! I love what you did to the pumpkin! I love autumn for its earthy colors, crisp air, my favorite season of all.

I love your house, it is precious like a dolls house!

Nice to "meet" you,
Martha

Hey there! Thanks for visiting me! I am fairly new to blogging myself. Looks like you are off to a great start.
I'm adding you to my blogroll so I can come back and visit again.
Your pumpkin looks so much better! It had a washed out look before, and by making te stem green, it looks more real.
Have a nice evening!
