The Bittersweet Fairy Came Today!

I was getting ready to leave for a day at the mall with my girls and Lauren said "Mom somebody's at the back door." She had seen a head go by the back door window really quickly, so I opened the door to find my niece Ellen dropping off this big pile of bittersweet! Yes, she had hit the motherlode on her way home from work in the morning. (She works at Target in a neighboring city and she has to be at work by 4:00 a.m.) We have been looking for it since September and our usual spots had been ravaged by the those terrible winds from Ike. I had a usual spot where I would get mine, but a new school was built across the road and they had to run utility poles and guess what? THEY TORN MY VINE OUT!! AAAHHHH! So Ellen has been on a mision to find us some and she did! Thanks Ellen!! Love Ya!!

Lucky you, and how nice of your niece!
I've been looking down here since Sept. too, so maybe there's still some hope that I will find some.
Have fun decorating with it!

I just saw my first bit of bittersweet along the road last night. I didn't get any, though :(

BTW~I had to cut and paste part of my tutorial into the right place. I don't color it when I'm done...it's before I stitch! Whoops! It still may not be the "Correct" way to do everything but it's how I do it....

Have a great day!

I have been so down today...just don't have the energy to post. I just handed it over to Him and asked that he also keep Stush and I the same without this coming between us.
Thanks for the wonderful kind words I so appreciate them:)

When my kids were born there were 3 great grandmothers alive as well as both grandmothers and they all had different nicknames. The kindest great gm was called Grammy so I like that name.
Thanks so much for your kind words.
