This is What I Love About a Small Town.....

Tonight is our homecoming. A time to remember, a time to see old friends, a time to kick some you know what in football! Tonight it will be a match up between the Indians of Mechanicsburg (that's us) and the Indians of Cedarville. We are pretty well assured to win because, well, we're undefeated and traditionally on homecoming you pick a school that you are sure you can beat! Otherwise, it makes for a pretty sad dance to attend on Saturday night!

I Love That Our Superintendent Knows Everyone Well Enough To Stop By To Chat.....

When I was growing up I always used to say "Someday I'm gonna get out of this one red light town." "I'm gonna move to the big city." And I did for a short time, but now I'm back! And I wouldn't trade my little hometown for any other town, big or little. There truly is "No Place Like Home" and "You Can Go Home Again!"

Yes, there is a lot to be said about livig in a small town. I grew up in the town I now live in, but as I grew up, the town also grew. So it's no longer a small town, but we still have some of the small town perks.

It is a great little town. What I love about our little town is... I live one street down from my aunt Beth who wrote this blog and two streets over from my Grandmother. In this little town I - now live in the house I met my husband in. I also have to giggle at seeing the back of my head in a few of those photos. This is a really great post!
